3 Ways To Identify A Leader
You may have learned that MLM is all about Leadership; to identify leaders, help them to develop and to duplicate this process – again and again. Then comes the obvious question: ”How can I identify a leader?” It´s really quite simple. Let us compare with fishing: How do you know when you have a big fish on your bait? You know immediatley when it happens; a heavy pull and you will have difficulties in holding your fishing rod. Same thing when you recruit a leader(or eg. a coming leader): You will recognize the activity and the behaviour directly.
Let me show you 3 ways to identify a leader which I´ve learned from MLM Master Jordan Adler (Send Out Cards, author of ”Beach Money”).
1) They contact you, through Skype, email, text or call you, and have lots of questions. It gives you a signal that they are interested in knowing ”everything”. So if you are a newbee, and you want attention from your sponsor..now you know what to do 
2) They attend webinars, presentations and live events without you telling them what to do. They will not miss a thing, are eager to learn. They come early to the events, take the best places (in front) not only for themselves but for the whole team.
3) They have activity all the time.They creates momentum on their own, and are not depending on you as their ”cheer-leader”
After this description maybe you are thinking: ”But I don´t have any members like that!” Or ”I have only one of those..!” What do you think my advice to you is? Go out and recruit more people!
The positive side of it is: You don´t need so many leaders to make a nice cheque. You can reach the higher incomelevels with a handful of leaders in your Team. Meaning that you´ll have to recruit between 50 -80 to aspire for the high payouts.
So; lead with your opportunity, start recruiting and identify your coming leaders!
The 1 – 3 – 5 – 7 ”Rule”
Some people may have the opinion that MLM is ”a get rich quick scheme”. First of all; it´s a serious, proven businessmodel that has been working for more than 60 years. Second; it is a ”Get Rich” business – though not quick. For your own – and for you candidates comfort, it can be a good thing to be aware of the ”1-3-5-7 Rule” of Multi Level Marketing.
1 = It may take one year to break even . Depending what kind of expenses you have regarding Marketing, your own Productconsumption and costs for participating at Events. MLM is like all other Businesses; you have a some maintenance costs, maybe just a couple of hundred dollars per month.
3 = If you work seriously, 10-15 hours per week, constantly recruit new Team Members who duplicates your work, you can have a full-time income from your MLM Business within 3 years.
5 = After 5 years of continuously working 10-15 hours per week, developing your Team and you own Leadershipskills, you should now be able to produce an income for more than $20 000/month.
7 = After 7 years (10.000 hours) you are a World Class MLM PRO. What is interesting is that it takes around 10 thousand hours to become World Class at anything; play tennis, lecture..you name it. A strong decision, a burning Desire to succeed is necassary to reach this level.
To know the 1-3-5-7 ”rule” will make it easier for you who just started your MLM business not to be unrealistic overoptimistic, but to have a realistic bsuiness-attitude. It can also make it easier to accept the passing of time; you will, in general, notbecome rich quick and easy!
MLM is not MLS!
Multi Level Marketing is not Multi Level Selling! Think about the meaning of the word ”Marketing”. If you want success with MLM, eg. reach the higher income levels, you need to focus on marketing and not selling.
Unfortunately there are ”MLM” people that don´t understand this. If you are doing ”MLS” - Directsales – and ”play store”, you will never be able to live of your business and generate passive income. The formula for building wealth in MLM is; ”Your ability to make a large group of people do a few simple actions over a consisting period of time” Most people hate selling which makes it difficult to build a large organisation based on selling products.
As a ”Multi Level Seller” working hard, your maximum earning will be limited to a couple of thousand $ per month. Not much left to you after all the expenses and tax. The work you have to do as a ”MLS grinder” is often unattractive like. ”home-parties” or chasing people to sell your products to. This will eventually make the people in your group drop out, and you will find yourself starting over again and again.
With modern MLM – focusing on recruiting new Team Members who use the products themselves, and in their turn market the Business - you can eventually generate income which exceeds $ 10 000 / month. To build that kind of income you have to invest 10.-15 hours /week for the next 2-5 years, and learn how to become a professional Networker
